“History of architecture”, Art History Supplement, Issue 2.6, November 2012

History of architecture issue may discuss, for instance, but not exclusively or limited to:
_The transition of architectural knowledge in manuscript and correspondence culture, in the light of archival research,
_The architectural innovation or decoration over “social” necessity, functionality and performance,
_The (re -) discovery of primitives: Gothic architecture: its survival and revival in Old and New World,
_Giorgio Vasari and historiography of architecture,
_Postmodern histories of modern architecture,
_Architecture criticism from architects VS art critics; and history of architecture from architects VS art historians; before the naissance of architectural historian, if any.

 
Art History Supplement (AHS) publishes bimonthly material, dealing with all time periods, methodologies, techniques and debates within the board field of Art History. Further, the general themes intended to be covered in each volume could be history of art history, history of conservation, history of museology, history of painting, history of sculpture and history of architecture. Contributions from any other science (social or not) corresponding to material culture are also welcome.
